Here is the latest information from Coe
College:
Power was restored to the main campus on Saturday evening. Regular
campus activity will resume on Monday.
July 11, 2008, 10:00 a.m.
We have just been informed that the crews working to restore power
on campus have encountered further difficulties. It is now the
case that power is not likely to be restored on the main campus
until sometime tomorrow. The crews are doing everything possible
to bring up electrical service, and we ask for your patience as
we deal with this difficult situation.

- On Wednesday afternoon, July 9, an underground
power line near Eby Annex ruptured. Much of the campus lost power.
Power will likely be restored mid to late afternoon on Friday,
July 11.
- Some buildings continue to have electricity and
persons working therein need not cease normal activities. Individuals
working in buildings that have lost power should consult with
their respective supervisors on when to return to campus.
- Due to the power outage, Coe's computer systems,
including e-mail, the Web site, the network, and the AS400 are
not operational. However, campus telephone service has now been
restored in most buildings.
- All members of the campus community should check
this Web site (www.coecollege1851.org) for continuing updates
on the college's status.
